Avalanche

The Chevrolet Avalanche successfully blends the comfort and passenger capacity of an SUV with the cargo flexibility of a pickup truck. While these two main attributes are also associated with full-size crew cab pickups, the Avalanche goes one step further with its distinctive fold-down midgate.

The term "midgate" refers to the removable wall that separates the cabin from the bed. The rear window and the wall separating the cabin from the bed can be opened up, either in part (by flipping down the midgate wall so a pass-through is created) or in whole (by also removing the rear window).

Blazer

The Chevrolet Blazer is one of the most popular SUVs for five consecutive decades.

Born as a variant of Chevrolet's S-10 compact pickup in 1983, this S-10 Blazer was a pioneer of the modern small-SUV segment. As an inexpensive choice for a small or midsize SUV, a second-generation Chevy Blazer might be worth a look.

The second-generation Chevrolet Blazer was produced from 1995 to 2005. In terms of size, it is bigger than its predecessor but smaller than competing midsize SUVs like the Ford Explorer and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Under the hood is a 4.3-liter V6 producing 190 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque.

Reviewers of the Chevrolet Blazer find it quick (thanks to its robust V6), fun to drive around town, comfortable to ride in and decently capable off-road.  Another major change came for the 1999 model year when Chevrolet introduced a new AutoTrac four-wheel-drive system that could automatically sense wheel slippage and send power to the axle with the most traction.

Camaro

Starting out in the late 1960s as an answer to the Ford Mustang, the early Chevrolet Camaro could be had in coupe or convertible form and with six-cylinder or V8 power. 

An all-new Chevrolet Camaro, complete with retro styling and over 400 horsepower available, returned to Chevrolet showrooms for the 2010 model year. Choose the V6 model or the muscle-bound SS, the newest Camaro offers plenty of tire-spinning performance and head-turning looks. Cavalier

The Cavalier's success was built in large part on the value it offered, and 24 years since it was introduced, value and affordability are still the main selling points of the Chevy Cavalier.  Cavalier owners enjoy good gas mileage, a stylish exterior, and comfortable ride.  Front wheel drive also makes the Chevy Cavalier a viable choice for winter driving conditions.



Equinox

The Chevrolet Equinox is part of a growing segment of "plus-sized" small crossover SUVs. As with other crossovers, the Equinox is built on a carlike platform that provides superior on-road comfort and crashworthiness.

There have been two Equinox generations. Earlier models were known for their roomy interiors and easy-driving nature. The second-generation Equinox, thanks to its sharper styling, improved cabin fit and finish, additional features and new engine choices, is a much-improved vehicle and a top pick for a small crossover SUV.

A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine (182 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque) is standard and a 3.0-liter V6 (264 hp and 222 lb-ft) is optional.

In addition to its handsome styling, the Equinox boasts a quiet, comfortable cabin and a supple ride over broken pavement. The well-rounded Equinox has plenty going for it and is a strong entry in the compact crossover segment.

Impala

Type: Full Sized Family Sedan

The Chevrolet Impala is a full-size family sedan.  Anti-lock brakes (ABS), stability and traction control, front seat side airbags and side curtain airbags are standard on all Impala trims. With its front bench seat, the Impala can accommodate six passengers.

Under the hood, the Impala LS and LT come with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 211 horsepower. Standard on the LTZ is a 3.9-liter V6 good for 230 hp. All Impalas come with a four-speed automatic transmission.  The Impala offers a smooth and quiet ride and a lot of features for the price.

Silverado 1500

Chevrolet has produced a pickup-truck since 1918 and similar to its rivals, the modern-day Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is offered with a choice of body styles, powertrains, and trim levels. This flexibility makes the Silverado great as the weekday family car, at transporting cargo, or towing a boat or RV. For those looking for sporty styling, the SS version comes with a V8, bucket seats and premium wheels.  Older versions of the Silverado 1500 pickup have been praised for their strong work ethic. There are other options in the full-size pickup truck class, but Silverado is a solid choice no matter what its intended use.

Notable options include a variety of towing packages plus the Z71 Off-Road Package.  Engine choices include a fuel efficient 4.3-liter 195-horsepower V6, and a 6.2-liter V8 with 403 hp. Most Chevy Silverados will be have either a 295-hp 4.8-liter V8 or a 315-hp 5.3-liter V8.

Reviewers say the Silverado's pros include strong performance, a refined and quiet ride, and a comfortable, well-finished cabin.

Tahoe
Type: Full Sized SUV

With room for up to nine passengers the Tahoe meets and often exceeds the needs of large families.  The Tahoe is also popular also because the full-size SUV is a smaller and more maneuverable relative of the larger Chevy Suburban.

Options include a navigation system and a rear entertainment system. Stability control and front side and side curtain airbags are also available. Most recent models feature a 5.3-liter V8 (now E85-compatible) with 320 horsepower with a choice between two- and four-wheel drive.



Trail Blazer


Type: Mid Sized SUV

The affordable and capable Chevrolet TrailBlazer has been produced since 2002. The midsize Chevy TrailBlazer has a rugged truck-based frame that provides good towing capacity and off-road capabilities.
